Hey, It's Ryan!
I am an award-winning illustrator and artist with a 15-year obsession with bringing the impossible to life. My career has been defined by my work with Magic: the Gathering, where I’ve painted over 200 oil pieces and helped design some of the game’s most iconic characters. Beyond the multiverse, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with brands like Marvel, Blizzard Entertainment, and Nickelodeon.
I’ve always believed that for a fantasy world to feel real, it must be grounded in truth. My passion lies in "imaginative realism" taking the creatures and landscapes of our dreams and making them physically believable.
In this course, I’m opening up my studio doors to show you exactly how I do it. We’ll dive into the foundations of representational painting, from the logic of light and form to the final polish of a professional piece.
